Lungs press down. Nose tingles. Eyes tense.

The gears can only click into place if they are not worn down.

The gears only wear down if there is grinding.


And the grinding started and never stopped.


But the clicking into place must never stop.


And the breakdown of both has broken the machine.


I am not a machine.

I am a man.


And the breakdown of both has broken the man.


And when a man is broken, lungs press down.

Nose tingles.

Eyes tense.
